Eugenio Suárez gave baseball fans an unforgettable night Saturday when he crushed four home runs in a single game, the 39th such performance in MLB history . Through Suárez's brilliance atop one of the most individual rare sights of the season, the Arizona Diamondbacks almost overcame an 8-7 defeat against the Atlanta Braves in an exhausting 10-inning contest.
A night for the ages for Eugenio Suarez Suárez had hardly stepped onto the field when he first made an impression, smashing a 418-foot home run inside the left field foul pole in the second inning. His second home run in the fourth was not far from the first, barely levelled above the left-centre field fence. Gloriously centre with 443 feet in the sixth, and slowly a game blank in the ninth for the fourth.

Each swing was pure strength with impeccable timing, inspiring awe among the fans and players.

"I never thought in my life I'd be able to do that-four homers in a game. It feels amazing. I want to thank God, my teammates, and my family, who always support me," a pretty emotional Suárez said post-match. Although the Diamondbacks lost, Suárez's fairytale night dexterously lit up the stadium, reminding everyone just how unpredictable and beautiful baseball can be.
Historic feat amidst a narrow lossYes, Suarez's four-homer game in 2017 was the first since J.D. Martinez's in 2017, again as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks. That makes Arizona one of a select few franchises to have witnessed multiple instances of this rare achievement alongside bigger franchises like the Phillies, Braves, and Dodgers.

Needless to say, the signatures adorning this very bat that Suárez wielded on a spectacular night will enshrine it at the National Baseball Hall of Fame most fitting tribute to an evening not fading from memory anytime soon. For him and the whole Diamondbacks organisation, it is yet another proud chapter to be stamped in the pages of their history.
Bittersweet ending for Arizona DiamondbacksWith fireworks courtesy of Suárez, the Diamondbacks found themselves struggling against one last Braves comeback. From being down 6-2 in the eighth inning, Atlanta made a swift comeback and briefly tied the match before claiming victory with a wild pitch in the tenth inning.

Every other show got eclipsed by Suárez, marking this with magic in baseball — those kinds of nights that remind people why they love it
