Send Push
The Rock is one of the biggest names, not only in the world of professional wrestling, but across the entire entertainment industry. He is a dream opponent for superstars in WWE ; however, there have been only a select few who have gotten the opportunity to battle him since he stepped away from a full-time role. Despite that, a former champion, who once main evented WrestleMania, is open to competing against The Final Boss and wants to defend the WWE title against him.

Which WWE superstar wants to have a dream showdown with The Rock in WWE?
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre addressed the possibility of facing The Rock, especially if given a chance to defend the WWE title against him. The Scottish Warrior was very much open to the idea. Moreover, he spoke highly about his relationship with The Great One offscreen and was very much grateful to him for the opportunities he got from The Rock.

McIntyre said, " Yes. Is the sky blue? Is the grass green? He’s The Rock. I mean, personally… he’s DJ to me. We’ve built this relationship over a long time. He’s always believed in me, and he’s given me these great opportunities, such as being the face of Project Rock , which was an incredibly successful campaign. I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s ever done for me."

Furthermore, The Scottish Warrior was thrilled about their real-life relationship translating into a WWE storyline. He said, " if we could do business together on screen—since we’ll be doing business off-screen—that would be a dream come true."

The Rock and Drew McIntyre have been spotted together on WWE television programming on some occasions. Moreover, McIntyre is also a part of his 'Project Rock.' The Great One himself has praised McIntyre's ability as a WWE superstar and envisioned big things for him. While it was John Cena who sold his soul to The Rock, a highly viable candidate to be his top guy would be Drew McIntyre. However, McIntyre is more keen on battling the TKO Board member, so it remains to be seen if that could become a reality in the future.
