After maintaining their winning streak during the initial months of the 2025 MLB season, the Dodgers were brought back to the reality and the cracks in the team roster after being defeated by the Los Angeles Angels recently.
The Dodgers manager reacted to the team's performance after the Angels went on to defeat the 2024 World Series Champions. During a post-game interview, Dave Roberts said-
“I don’t think like that. We all know to get to that level, that’s when you become a championship team. So I’m not going to stick it to my players by saying that, ‘you know, we need to be at the level.”
He further mentioned-
“We don’t have what they’ve got over there. It’s easy for them to stay at that level. We have to compete at the level of talent that we have and grow from there. That’s Baseball.”
Los Angeles Angels manager Ron Washington said-
“We should be at least fighting for a chance in the middle of the pack, but the injuries and the people that we lost and the things that’s been happening with our youth, just got us where we are. The day will come, that we can get to that level where I feel like we can compete for a championship.”
However, the 2025 MLB season has not been going smooth, for the Los Angeles Dodgers. With talented pitching stars Clayton Kershaw , Tyler Glasnow, Blake Snell scheduled, and star utility player Tommy Edman listed on the injured list by the Dodgers, the popular MLB team has been struggling with the inconsistent pitching depth currently.
