Wait, what? Fried-chicken-flavored toothpaste? Yes, some of your wildest dreams (cravings) have come true. Have you ever wondered about brushing your teeth with something that your taste buds love? Something that tastes like your favorite food (fried chicken maybe) and still has the benefits of toothpaste? Well, looks like your prayers have been answered.
Those who are obsessed with the 11-spices fried chicken from the popular American fast food restaurant chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), and wanted to wake up to the flavor, can now buy their toothpaste.
KFC recently introduced its fried chicken-flavored toothpaste in partnership with toothpaste manufacturer Hismile. The flavors are ‘inspired by all of KFC's 11 herbs and spices,’ according to a news release.
What looked like an April Fool’s Day meme, soon turned into a reality. When the restaurant chain first dropped hints of their new product, people thought it was a prank. However, they shrugged it off and said, “Not a prank. It’s here. And it’s Finger Lickin’ Good.” The ads soon attracted the attention of fried chicken lovers, and guess what? Americans loved it! As of Tuesday, the product is sold out on the website, less than a week after it was introduced.
The limited edition flavor is fluoride-free. According to the website, they have ‘made your wildest dreams (or weirdest cravings) come true’ with their fried chicken flavored toothpaste. The toothpaste brings the ‘unmistakable taste of crispy, golden perfection straight to your toothbrush for a full-on flavor takeover’.
The new tooth paste feels “like biting into a hot, juicy piece of KFC Original Recipe Chicken, this toothpaste is irresistible, coating your teeth in flavor before leaving your mouth feeling fresh and clean,” as per the release.
The limited edition (60g - 2.1 oz) toothpaste is sold at $13.

Hismile is popular for their fun toothpaste flavours including Chupa Chups Cola, Red Velvet, Ice Pop, Cookies & Cream, The Simpsons Purple Squishee, Strawberry Cream Yochi, Hazelnut Spred, and Iced Latte among others.
The internet is flooded with reviews from people who managed to grab the toothpaste. One X user dropped a video of trying the toothpaste, and said, “KFC really made a fried chicken toothpaste… and I actually used it. It left like a grease flavor in my mouth.”
One Instagram user asked if the new flavor could be launched in Australia, “Will this come to Australia, keen to try!”
An X user wasn't keen about the new flavor, and wrote, "I think we can all agree as a society that the flavoured toothpaste trend has gone too far and anyone who wants FRIED CHICKEN flavoured toothpaste needs help."
