BENGALURU: Bengaluru-based Earth observation and decision intelligence firm SatSure has entered into a strategic partnership with Hyderabad-headquartered startup Dhruva Space to offer fully-managed Earth Observation-as-a-Service (EOaaS) solutions.
The solutions will be completely managed — from satellite design and launch to data analysis and delivery of sector-specific insights.
The tie-up comes on the back of key advancements by both firms. SatSure’s subsidiary KaleidEO recently completed successful qualification of its sub-metre resolution optical and multi-spectral Earth observation payloads, while Dhruva Space has invested in building India’s largest private satellite integration and testing facility, a 2.8-lakk-sq ft campus.
The new MoU envisions the integration of their complementary capabilities to cater to both strategic and commercial clients, using indigenously developed, high-reliability technologies. The alliance will combine KaleidEO’s data analytics strengths with Dhruva’s proven expertise in small satellite platforms, systems integration, and launch support to deliver one-stop EO solutions.
The EOaaS offering from this partnership is expected to enhance access to high-quality, analysis-ready Earth observation data, with applications ranging from disaster response and agricultural intelligence to climate monitoring and urban planning. By pooling resources and infrastructure, the two firms aim to make sovereign, cost-effective and timely EO solutions.
SatSure founder & CEO Prateep Basu said the partnership reflects the power of Indian innovation and will significantly enhance their ability to offer sovereign Earth observation services.
Echoing his views, Dhruva Space founder and CEO Sanjay Nekkanti, said: “By uniting our capabilities — from satellite platform development to launch integration and ground support — with KaleidEO’s advanced payloads and analytics, we can drastically reduce mission timelines and offer actionable intelligence for critical use cases across sectors.”
SatSure, founded in 2017, has built a reputation for delivering decision intelligence by combining geospatial data with artificial intelligence. Its products are used globally in sectors such as agriculture, finance, energy, aviation, and utilities. The firm spun out KaleidEO in 2022 to focus on high-resolution EO payloads.
Dhruva, established in 2012, has grown into a vertically integrated space engineering player supporting both civilian and defence clients. Its new facility will support end-to-end satellite manufacturing, from design and engineering to integration and testing, for spacecraft weighing up to 500 kg.
