Pregnant woman, 4 kids kidnapped at gunpoint in US, escape unharmed

A pregnant mother and her four children were kidnapped at gunpoint near Brainerd, Minnesota early on Friday, but were later discovered unharmed. The suspect, aged 35, has been arrested, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office .

The incident occurred around 1.50 am on November 1, when the mother and her children—aged 14, 11, 7, and 3—were taken from a residence located on the 15000 block of Loerch Road. Authorities reported that the suspect, the mother's boyfriend, fired a rifle into the ceiling of the home and then forced them to leave with him.

After the abduction, law enforcement swiftly issued the Amber Alert , indicating that the suspect was driving a white 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan, with Minnesota licence plate AEC-351. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) revealed that the suspect is also involved in the fatal shooting of a man at a separate nearby residence.

The mother and her children were found safe inside the suspect's vehicle. Officials stressed that the investigation is still active, urging anyone with information regarding the suspect or the vehicle to avoid approaching them and to call 911 immediately, as reported by Fox9 news.
