Honor is preparing to expand its Honor 400 series with the launch of the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro, following the recent debut of the Honor 400 Lite. According to a new leak from China, both models are set to arrive in May 2025, and will bring significant hardware enhancements — most notably, a 200MP main camera sensor.
Display and DesignThe Honor 400 will feature a 6.55-inch LTPS OLED display with a “1.5K” resolution, a slight downgrade in size compared to its predecessor’s 6.7-inch screen. While it won’t have an LTPO panel, which offers more flexible refresh rate adjustments, the display is expected to deliver sharp visuals with smooth scrolling.
The Honor 400 Pro, on the other hand, retains the 6.7-inch screen size and also features an LTPS OLED panel with the same resolution. Both devices are said to sport a premium metal frame, positioning them as elegant and sturdy contenders in the mid-to-premium smartphone segment.
Performance and ChipsetUnder the hood, the Honor 400 will be powered by a Snapdragon 7-series chipset, making it a solid midrange performer for daily tasks and light gaming. The Honor 400 Pro will step up to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm’s flagship chip, providing top-tier processing power for demanding apps, AI features, and gaming.
Camera CapabilitiesThe standout feature for both models is the 200MP primary rear camera, which promises high-resolution photography and enhanced digital zoom capabilities. The Honor 400 Pro further enhances its imaging setup with a 50MP telephoto lens, targeting photography enthusiasts who want flagship-grade zoom functionality.
Battery and Other FeaturesWhile the exact battery size hasn’t been officially confirmed, reports indicate that both models will house batteries starting with the number “7,” suggesting capacities above 7,000mAh, a massive offering that could set a new benchmark in battery longevity for this segment.
More details, including pricing and international availability, are expected soon as the official launch window approaches.
Expected Launch TimelineBoth the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro are tipped to launch in China in May 2025, with global rollout details yet to be confirmed. Given Honor’s aggressive international expansion in recent years, global markets could see these models within the following months.
