April 17, 2025 — As the official launch of the Vivo X200 Ultra approaches, Vivo has revealed key camera specifications and features through a series of teasers on Chinese platform Weibo. Slated for debut in China on April 21, the flagship smartphone will come equipped with cutting-edge Sony LYT-818 sensors, Zeiss optics, and a powerful imaging chip setup aimed at redefining mobile photography.

Sony LYT-818 Sensors Power Primary and Ultra-Wide Cameras

The Vivo X200 Ultra will feature a triple-lens Zeiss-branded camera system:

  • 14mm ultra-wide sensor

  • 35mm primary lens

  • 85mm Zeiss APO telephoto lens

Both the primary and ultra-wide sensors are confirmed to use the 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-818 sensor, promising high resolution, better low-light performance, and optical image stabilization (OIS). Vivo also claims that the 85mm telephoto unit is 38% more light-sensitive than its predecessor in the Vivo X100 Ultra.

Advanced Imaging Chips and AI Capabilities

The camera system is supported by Vivo’s custom V3+ ISP and a dedicated VS1 AI image signal processor, which is capable of delivering 80 trillion operations per second (TOPS). This enables advanced computational photography features, improved HDR processing, and real-time scene optimization.

The device supports 4K video recording at 120fps, and 10-bit log shooting at 4K 60fps, catering to professional-grade content creators. It also includes DCG HDR and a suite of AI-powered camera tools for enhanced image clarity, color reproduction, and subject tracking.

Additionally, Vivo has confirmed the X200 Ultra will be compatible with an optional Photography Kit, aimed at power users and professionals.

Display, Performance, and Charging

Beyond its camera system, the Vivo X200 Ultra boasts premium flagship hardware:

  • 2K OLED display with Zeiss branding and Armour Glass protection

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset

  • 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging

  • 8.69mm thickness

  • Ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor

The Vivo X200 Ultra is expected to set a new standard in the smartphone camera landscape, combining high-end optics, next-gen processors, and a visually stunning display.
