Krishnagiri: Sleuths from the directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption (DVAC) seized 2.41 lakh in unaccounted cash during a raid at a regional transport office (RTO) checkpoint at Hosur in Krishnagiri district on Sunday.
Around 8am on Sunday, an eight-member DVAC team led by DSP Rajendran conducted a raid at the RTO checkpoint at the Hosur corporation entry point, on the route from Bangalore to Tamil Nadu. This is one of the two RTO checkpoints in Jujuwadi area along the Tamil Nadu state border.
A DVAC official said, "During the raid, 2.41 lakh in unaccounted cash was found in the possession of brake inspector M Gayathri." The brake inspector and other officials who were at the checkpoint have been detained by the DVAC for further probe.
